Longest Highway Tunnel of India

OVERVIEW

India’s longest tunnel is a 2-lane highway in range of the Himalayas. At 8.8 km (5.5 mi) length, the tunnel is one of the longest road tunnels in the World at an altitude of 3060 meters above sea level. This is a very critical tunnel road for Transportation in hilly areas for defense Forces during winter Season.  Panasonic security solution lead the project of installing very advanced and reliable surveillance solution in the tunnel. 

WHAT DID WE DO?

Customer wanted the state-of-the-Art surveillance system with video Analytics & Vehicle Incident Detection solution for the Tunnel surveillance and monitoring. We have delivered complete video surveillance Solution along with NVR based storage, edge-based analytics and Vehicle Incident Detection Software.

Entire implementation done in peak covid time (team stayed 3 weeks at site)

RESULT

The Tunnel became operational with Panasonic Advanced Surveillance system in October last year and was inaugurated by Honorable Prime Minister of India.

This GIVES immense visibility on national scale and be part of making INDIA A Safe Place.
